The response to The RWJ Review has reminded me how much writers want to see independent publishing thrive. I feel that same hope and I’m doing what I can to turn it into something tangible.
For years I’ve built Remote Writing Jobs to connect writers with legitimate opportunities and fair, transparent pay. Now through The RWJ Review I’m creating paid opportunities myself.

I’m proud of what I’m building but I want to be honest about something…I can’t do this alone. Creating opportunities for other writers takes time, labor, and financial investment. I’m willing to keep putting those things into this work but I need people who want these opportunities to exist to help make that possible.
Becoming a paid subscriber is the most direct way to help me continue. At $15/month or $120/year your paid subscription helps sustain the job directory and the paid opportunities I’m creating through The RWJ Review.
And for those of you who are already paid subscribers there are other ways to help this remain sustainable including gift subscriptions, donated annual subscriptions for writers who’ve submitted hardship requests, discounted group subscriptions, and donations made through PayPal or Venmo.
Meet the Editor-in-Chief
For anyone else building something for writers while trying to sustain their own work, I know how vulnerable it can feel to admit that you need people. I’ve always believed leadership means being willing to put yourself out there even when it would be easier to keep the difficult parts private. I want to be honest about what this work asks of me because I care too much about what I’m building to pretend I can sustain it alone.
Thank you for trusting me with this work, for showing up as a writer alongside me, and for helping make room for more writers to earn from their words.
I hope we keep making room for one another not just in the work we create but in the work it takes to keep creating it.
With gratitude,
Melissa Tripp, Founder of RWJ
