If a writer could help with it, RWJ can probably feature it.
A lot of people think of “writing jobs” very narrowly but some of the most worthwhile paid opportunities I come across aren’t traditional roles at all. They’re projects, one-off tasks, creative assists, messy drafts that need shaping, scattered materials that need organizing, names that haven’t been found yet, ideas that need language, or behind-the-scenes work that simply needs a writer’s eye.
That work counts.
If you have something you need help with and you’re able to attach fair and transparent pay to it, I’d love to consider it for Remote Writing Jobs.
RWJ features both traditional writing roles and the kinds of writing-adjacent creative work that often goes unnamed despite requiring real skill and care.
That can look like:
Naming newsletters, products, or creative projects
Refining voice or messaging
Writing bios or short-form copy
Organizing archives or compiling collections
Formatting or restructuring content
Supporting editorial or creative projects
Any task where language, clarity, or creative judgement matters
If a writer could genuinely help with it, it likely belongs in the directory.
To submit something, just send the role or task, pay information, and a description or direct link to melissa@remotewritingjobs.org.
For the work that often goes unnamed,
Melissa Tripp, Founder of RWJ
