Want remote writing jobs that actually pay? Upgrade to unlock vetted listings.
The directory writers trust.
From the desk of founder Melissa Tripp:
I know how heavy the search can feel. The hours spent scrolling, listings that lead nowhere, and the constant effort to figure out whether an opportunity is real, paid, or worth your time. It wears you down and pulls energy away from the work you actually want to be doing.
Exhaustion shouldn’t be part of the job.
Remote Writing Jobs is a curated premium directory that narrows the field and makes the search more humane. Every opportunity is vetted for legitimacy, fairness, the rates are always clearly stated, and new listings go up daily and are posted individually so nothing gets buried. The goal isn’t to overwhelm you with volume but to offer something steadier that you can trust.
What writers are saying:
“…RWJ was the first time paying for a job board actually felt worth it. You can feel the care immediately. Every listing is intentional. The rates are clear. The roles are genuinely remote. Nothing feels padded or thrown in just to justify the price. It feels like someone actually thought about what writers need instead of what looks impressive on a landing page…”

As a free subscriber, you’re only seeing a preview of job titles, rates, and posting frequency. The full listings including details, scope, and where to apply are behind a paywall and there’s a reason for that. RWJ isn’t just another paid subscription. While most writing job boards share everything they come across, I only post opportunities that meet a clear standard. If the pay is unclear or the ask is insulting, it doesn’t get posted. It’s that care and clarity that set this resource apart and make it reliable.
If you’ve been hesitant to commit, that’s understandable. Writers are asked to sign up for a lot and not all of it delivers. RWJ is here to shoulder some of that burden for you. Upgrading gives you access to jobs that pay fairly and transparently and are curated with the care of a writer who knows this landscape firsthand.
This isn’t passive, it’s personal.
Choose the plan that works best for you:
$15/month (This is the core price of RWJ and reflects the ongoing, hands-on work behind it. It gives you access to every listing as it’s published with the flexibility to move at your own pace. Many writers start here to see how it fits into their workflow then switch to the annual plan once they know they want long-term access.)
$120/year (Best value for writers who want uninterrupted access while they’re actively applying. At $15/month, a full year comes out to $180. The annual plan reduces that by 33% and lets you make one decision upfront and stay focused on finding reliable work instead of managing renewals every month.)
$500+/year (The Founding Writer Ally plan is for supporters who want to invest more directly in the long-term growth of this platform and the writers it serves. This level of support helps keep RWJ independently run while also funding the in-house publication where writers are commissioned and paid $1/word for original work on the craft, culture, and business of writing. Minimum $500. Higher support always welcome.)
Your backing sustains the daily, often invisible labor of filtering out noise, unclear pay, and low-quality listings so you don’t have to. It also helps expand RWJ beyond the directory itself. I don’t just list opportunities, I create them too.
Here’s to pioneering higher standards of fair and transparent pay when sharing writing opportunities since 2023.
